Heliskiing in Russia

Even though Russia has very large territories of mountains and many regions for skiing, helisking is only held in a few places. One of them is Kamchatka which is not only famous among Russians, but foreigners as well. It is perfect in every way. Another heliskiing location is Caucasus, it is not as well known as others, but nonetheless it has the potential to serve as a replacement to Canada. Caucasus has very sloped terrain, excellent living accommodations, and access to Eurocopter helicopters which allow to organize different programs. One of the newer locations is Krasnaya Polyana which opened after the 2014 Olympics.

Kamchatka has been a favorite among heliskiiers. Skiing down a volcano crater to the Pacific Ocean is definitely something you must try.
